I am the director of the Civil Discourse for Citizenship Program at the Ohio State University's Center for Ethics and Human Values.
I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of California, San Diego in 2020 and completed a postdoc at Princeton University's Center for Human Values in 2023. I specialize in social and political philosophy, philosophy of education, and ethics. Within these areas I focus on egalitarianism and educational justice. My main project develops an account of equality in social and interpersonal relationships that emphasizes mutual accountability. I argue that this account illuminates relational dimensions of racial and gender (in)justice and explore its implications for a broader ideal of egalitarian justice. I also work on projects that explore philosophical dimensions of education policy and practice. To learn more, check out my research page.
